Best Seats In The House At PBR

We could not have had better seats! It was just too cool! We got there absolutely last minute and the best seats in the house were waiting for us! I bet people who paid quite a bit more for their "special tickets" in the dirt on short side were just drooling over our seats! Front row, in front of the bucking bu rightlls!

It was a wonderful night out! Got to see lots of cowboys! For some reason, Ambre and I did not get to see the only major fall/fight with the bull. Owh well, we got to see lots of other cowboys in the dirt! Here are some pictures:

Thanksgiving Day Eventing

It was a gorgeous Thanksgiving Day afternoon: temperatures went up to 20 degrees! So, it was time to have some fun with the horses! Ambre and I headed out to Strathgartney to do some cross country! It was very quiet over there and just a perfect opportunity to canter through the fields and try some fun jumps. Kionus has a great time. It seems to be his favorite past time right now! Trinny did well too, and he enjoyed being on the course as well!

Once we did the course, Ambre and I did a horse swap! Although, Ambre has never been on Kionus before she was getting along well with him. She got him going and was doing flying changes left and right... On the other hand, Trinny and I took it easy... we just cantered up and down the field and did a few jumps! LOL! I had a blast!

Picture was taken last year at Bromont during Thanksgiving Weekend. No pictures this time because we didn't have any photographers with us. But I'm sure we'll get some nice pictures Wednesday night when we all head out to see the cowboys!! Owh Yeah!

Busy Clinic

We had record numbers for the dressage clinic with Sue this weekend!! Sue came over Saturday morning and taught many riders until mid evening. It all started at Gary's barn and the clinic later moved to the Winsloe Equestrian Centre. Sue was back at it again early Sunday morning at Gary's and did not leave the Charlottetown area until early evening. Basically, two extremly busy days! It is very nice to see the growing interest in these clinics. We are very lucky to have Sue come to the Island on a regular basis and hopefully the clinics will continue throughout the winter.

I rode Kionus both Saturday and Sunday. He went very nice and we were pleased with him. Whiscalina did not go this time because she is still on break. She has been growing an aweful lot in the last few weeks. She's definately becoming quite a big mare!

Here are some pictures that were taking during the clinic:

Hacking at Brookvale

After our lessons with Sue Sunday morning we headed out to Brookvale Ski park for a nice hack on the cross country ski trails. Ambre and I came to the conclusion that it was probably much nicer (and easier) to hack the horses on the trail then try to get around it on skies during the winter...

It was a beautiful day, the leafs are already starting to turn into a wide variety of colours, the sun was shining, and there was just a little breeze. Overall, perfect for a fall hack. Here are already a few pictures of our hack. More stories about the clinic and pictures will come soon!
