Dressage PEI Show June 2008

It was finally a sunny Dressage PEI show! The past number of years we had nothing but rain; however, this past weekend we got more sun and warm temperatures that we ever could have asked for!

For the first show of the season I was pleased with my rides. On Saturday I rode Whiscalina in the FEI 5 year old Prelim test; despite her very hot and energetic performance we received 67%. Later that day I also rode her in First Level 4 and got 68%. I also rode Whisca for the first time in Second Level and received a nice score of 67%.

On the second day Whisca had settled in nicely. For our 5 year old Final test we received another 67% and in Second Level 2 the score was 66%. Below you will be able to view our Second Level Test II test:



It was great to ride at this show as a preparation for Blainville. We will be leaving Saturday June 14 and hope to safely return home on Sunday June 30th. The schedule for the two weeks of showing is as follow:

Show Prep Weekend

This past weekend we spent preparing ourself and Whiscalina for the show. We practiced several tests and gave the trailer a good cleaning.

This upcoming weekend we will be showing in Crapaud at the Dressage PEI show. Whisca is going well, we will be competing in FEI 5 year old Prelim, First test 4, and Second test I on Saturday. On Sunday we will be doing the FEI 5 year old Final and Second test II.

The weekend after that we will already be leaving for Blainville. We will be spending 2 weeks in Blainville this year and compete in First and Second level and also FEI Five year olds.

After the weekend I will provide you with some news on how the PEI Dressage show went and some more details of our upcoming Quebec trip! For now I have some pictures of Whisca and I riding in the beautiful spring sun!
