Another Clinic

Friday evening and Saturday a number of Island riders enjoyed another clinic with Sue Fraser from Canning Nova Scotia. The lessons were held at the Winsloe Equestrian Centre and Storybook Stables.

I rode Whiscalina with Sue both days. Sue did some follow up work on the things we worked on with Cindy Ishoy.
Whiscalina went nice and things were already improving from last weekend. Cindy had taught us some different approaches to the extended gaits and we are starting to feel much more confident about them.

Ambre supplied the photo this time. Unfortunately, the batteries in my digital camera died. So this time I don't have a video to share with you. But in less than two months I'm hoping to be back in the show ring in Sussex, so if you are going to be around you may be able to see her go at the Princess Louise Park.

Cindy Ishoy Clinic Spring 2008 -VIDEO CLIP

This past weekend we traveled to Fraser Equestrian Centre in Canning Nova Scotia to ride in a two day clinic with eight time dressage Olympian Cindy Ishoy. Whiscalina & I had two private lessons during the weekend; we learned lots and enjoyed it very much!

The first day we worked mostly on second level test exercises while the second day we did a lot of gymnastic work. I feel like we have learned a lot in those two days and it made both of us very sharp!

Whiscalina went beautiful and she felt very nice! Cindy definitely pushed up beyond our regular routine and it really showed us Whisca's endless possibilities. It is so much fun taking Whisca to clinics like these because she loves her job so much! At times it felt like she was dancing!

Sue will be over to teach lessons here in PEI this weekend. It will be nice to have follow up instruction from Sue. Maybe some more pictures and video clips of that this weekend as well.....
