Lessons

The weekend started Friday afternoon with lessons from Sue Fraser at the Winsloe Equestrian Centre. We had a busy schedule with hunter/jumper, eventing, and dressage riders at all levels. It was very nice to have Sue back on the Island to give everyone help with their horses.

I rode Kionus on Friday afternoon. He went good and I was very happy with him. It's unfortunate that winter in ahead of us because he's coming along so nicely and I would love to ride some tests so see how things are falling into it's place. His changes are really improving but the half passes are starting to feel very different as well. I guess the fact that they're feeling so different is a good sign!

In total we had twelve riders participating here on PEI this past Friday! It was great to see such a good turn out!

On Sunday, Ambre and I headed out to Port Elgin to have another lesson with Sue. It's always nice to have a follow up on the things you worked on the first day. On Sunday we focussed most on canter pirouttes and the exercises that make the pirouttes better and easier. We had some really nice onces. I had two good and fun rides with Kionus this weekend.

We are planning to have Sue back in PEI in two weeks. I'm looking forward to that! No pictures from this clinic. Hopefully next time. This picture of Kionus was taken during the last clinic.
