Great Show Results At Dressage PEI Show
It was a wonderful weekend at the Crapaud Agriplex this weekend. We left Friday afternoon to get the horses and ourself settled. I had a lesson with Sue Friday evening as well. Whiscalina was quite exited but our lesson went good. That same evening we also got our camp set up and got all of our stuff ready for show. It was my plan to stay in our new trailer; however, I ended up staying with the Tawil's on Wheels again. Maybe that was a good thing though because did it ever get cold Friday night!Saturday was an excellent show day. I rode Whiscalina in First Level test I. She went good and got a score of 65% and placed second. Later in the afternoon I rode the FEI test for 4-year old horses and received a score of 6.8. It was the first time for Whiscalina this year in the show ring so she was a little tense but overal I was pleased with her effort and the tests that we did. Besides my Whiscalina, I also rode a Hanovarian mare that I have in training for a little while. It was her very first dressage show and she did extremely well. She won her very first test, Training I, with a score of 69%. Although, I was more pleased with the second test, Training II, she received a score of 67% but also placed first again.
Sunday morning came very early. In fact, I was in the show ring at 6 o'clock. First I rode the Hanovarian mare again in Training and received an excellent score of 73%. Second test was also nice and got 71%. She won both of her tests. I was very happy with those scores but as if that was not enough yet, Whiscalina also scored 72.89% in First Level Test II and won her class. Whisca was much more settled on Sunday and the Four year old test also went great with a score of 7.0! I was extremely happy with her on Sunday; she's always such a pleasure!
Breaking the 70's mark is always a goal; but to break it four times in one day was so exiting!
Next for Whiscalina and I is a two week trip to Ontario and Quebec. We will be showing at the Ottawa Summer Classic from June 21-24. Then, we will travel to Montreal to show in Blainville fro
m June 27-
