Record First Level Score At R.I.D.E.R.S Show
This past weekend we travelled to ADDC in Mount Uniack to compete at the Riders Primary & National dressage show. Lise Martin, international dressage judge, was there to judge a record number of entries! I think it must have been the biggest dressage show in the Maritimes this summer.
Friday evening, we had a very good lesson with Sue. It had been a couple of weeks since I had some help with Whiscalina and Sue's instruction made once again a big difference in her way of going!
We had absolutely amazing rides this weekend, Whisca was very up and forward! The first day we showed First Level test 3 and received a score of 71% and in test 4 we got 73%. Whisca and I got some nice prizes for the high score of the day award! On Sunday we received our highest score ever in first level! We had a super test with a score of 78% in test 3! We even got a 9 for gaits! Also, got more 8's for rider mark that will go toward receiving my "rider 8" pin from Dressage Canada. Also, on Sunday we received a nice gift bag for the high score of the day!
Although, we had lots of rain Friday evening the facilities at ADDC were excellent and the indoor show ring came in very handy! It was nice seeing everybody again! Whisca will now be on a well deserved break for several weeks! She'll be outside enjoying the sunshine and have time to relax!
