Two Island Dressage Riders Bring Home Ribbons From Championships!

This past weekend, Ambre and I travelled to Sussex to compete at the annual Dressage Championships. We left Friday afternoon to do some schooling on Friday evening and to set settled.

It was a wonderful weekend at the Princess Louise Park, the weather was beautiful and the facilities were great. Whiscalina went very nice this weekend and she probably did one of her best tests ever on Sunday afternoon. We won the First Level Open Championship! She was once again very consistent, calm and floaty. Whisca and I got scores in the 70's this weekend and one of the comments the judge gave us at the end of the test was "Beautiful"! We won a nice navy cooler and of course a beautiful championship neck ribbon!

Ambre and her five year old mare, Wanja, also had a good weekend. In fact, they won the Adult Amateur Training level reserve championship! Ambre and I were the only two riders representing Prince Edward Island at the championships this weekend and bringing home the champion and reserve champion ribbons is a great accomplishment!
