Lessons from Cindy Ishoy

This past weekend we made another trip to Canning Nova Scotia to ride with Canadian dressage Olympian Cindy Ishoy. We left early Friday morning and had our first ride with her around supper time. Although, we are currently showing at second level we are starting to prepare ourself for competing at third level and FEI 6 year old for next year. Therefore, we started to work on some flying changes this weekend.

During the three lessons we had from Cindy, Whisca and I were starting to learn and understand the concept of the changes. We had some very nice clean changes both ways and were very pleased with that.

In Blainville, I had the wonderful opportunity to warm up for your FEI 5 year old classes with Cindy. From watching our warm up and tests Cindy had seen some things she wanted us to improve upon to make us stronger for next year in the 6 year old classes. We worked a lot on riding uphill in the trot and medium trot. It was quite intense but the result was amazing! We certainly learned many things that we can work on over the next little while.
