First show of 2011
This past weekend we were at the Princess Louise Park in Sussex, NB for the first show of the season! As usual, a wonderful show and very well organized. Despite the rain, wind, and cold temperatures it was a successful show!
After a training break of almost a year, we moved Whiscalina up a level to Fourth Level and was very pleased with how the weekend went. Both days we rode in test I & II. Saturday we decided to go for steady tests to become comfortable in the show ring again, we received a score of 64% and 65%. On Sunday we were able to improve on that by putting more impulsion into our tests and this was rewarded with better scores of 65% and 69%. Whiscalina worked well in our tests and we were very pleased with how things went and the positive comments we received from the judge!
One of my students, Janet Ferguson , joined us in Sussex and rode her gelding Salys Golden Boy in the training level division. Janet rode very well and started the show on Saturday with a 64% and improved quite well as the weekend went on and got two scores of 71% on Sunday! Well done Janet!!!
This coming weekend we will be on the road to Saint John to ride in a clinic with Cindy Ishoy!
